Marketing Specialist

Bloomington Farm Stop Collective is hiring a part-time Marketing Specialist. This position will mostly be a digital marketing position, managing our Instagram, Facebook, and newsletter. There may be some responsibilities with paid media, earned media, and print marketing for events, promotions, and community engagement. 


It would be a perfect position for a marketing or communications student who is looking to get valuable experience. 


Responsibilities

-This position will report to the General Manager. You will also have a marketing mentor to guide you in this position. 

-This requires creating content, posting and sharing content on both of these channels, engagement with publics, and brand oversight. 

-Writing captions, creating fliers and graphics, and taking good photos.

-We use Canva and photos can be edited in Lightroom or any other platform of your preference. 

-Writing a weekly newsletter that consists of relevant market and cafe information, new products, specials, and farmer/vendor highlights. 

-Graphic design and brand management are both required for this.

-Making fliers and ensuring all content aligns with the overall brand personality and image.

About Bloomington Farm Stop Collective

Bloomington Farm Stop Collective is an everyday farmers’ market and café owned by over 60 local farms. The Farm Stop offers a selection of seasonally grown produce, meat, dairy, and other farmed goods, as well as a wide range of artisan foods and crafts. The Farm Stop café offers fresh and local coffee & espresso beverages, teas, pastries, and soup. 


Our Mission

Our mission is to support small local farmers, especially those marginalized by our agricultural system. Through a welcoming retail space, owned by a cooperative of Indiana growers, we seek to connect the Bloomington community with transparently sourced healthful food, in a way that maximizes accessibility for all.

- To promote economic viability for small farms in south central Indiana

-To support the development of new & beginning farmers

-To encourage ecological food production and agricultural land preservation

-To facilitate collaboration among farms in our region

-To build community around local food systems

-To foster direct, meaningful relationships between farmers and eaters

-To increase awareness about the connections between food choices and the health of the planet 

-To make high quality, locally grown food more accessible to the community
