Cafe Cook/Baker
Job Description/Duties
This role is for a cafe cook and baker, who is excited to work with seasonal recipes and ingredients from local producers. They are responsible for production of retail and cafe items, as well as back of house cafe support as needed. Training will be provided, but previous experience is necessary, especially in baking. The cafe cook is responsible for producing items including quick breads, muffins, cookies, simple cakes, sandwiches and cheese toast. In addition, the cafe cook would make items for retail such as salad dressing, croutons, spreads, dips, and pates. In the future, other items such as soups, crackers and breads might be included as well. The cafe cook will assist the cafe in the production of all syrups for beverages. After initial training, there may be scope for participating in recipe development and creating new products, especially those featuring seasonal produce.
Pay rate
$15.50 plus tips, ave. $1.50-$2
30 hours per week with potential for growth
